California Dreaming
I'm not sure whether it's because I'm from California or if it's just the vibe that the sunshine state gives off, but every time I visit out west it feels like home. With the state's dense population, it's safe to say that feeling steams from the west coast's cultural atmosphere. It's been a number of years since my friend Hannah or myself have been to California, which is why we decided to take a trip away from the chilly east coast weather to adventure around the Los Angeles area for a few days.
Being a car enthusiast I was trying hard to find some small automotive event we could check out to get a peek into the west coast car scene. I finally was introduced to a Cars & Coffee, which I've mentioned are always a favorite, in Aliso Viejo, just an hour south from where we were staying. The events out there run super early from 7-9am, where our local events don't even typically start until 9am! I quickly realized the reason for the early rise was because at around 9am it went from light jacket cool to sweating in the sun hot.
So, we woke up super early Saturday morning, watching the sun rise on our drive down, to check out a California Cars & Coffee.
There were numerous old BMW's in attendance, and all were just as clean as this e9!
This is the first BMW M1 I have seen in person and it was just as amazing as I've heard.
A group of the Boden AutoHaus guys stopped by with some pleasant views!
The large amount of G-Wagons in California honestly surprised me.
It was nice to see a few Mitsubishi's lined up.
///M's are always a love.
It's nice to see the west coast Cars & Coffee's also carry a wide variety.
Opposites attract :)
