Rallysport Direct Meet

One thing I was definitely surprised about when I started looking around in Salt Lake City, Utah after I had moved out west was the amount of automotive and motor sport following there is located around the city. There are a lot more performance shops than I would have expected out here. Rally Sport Direct is one of the places located in Salt Lake that I was surprised about, they are actually located about 30 seconds down the road from where I currently work.

There was a colorful, fun looking group of 240 drift cars lined up.

A few super clean Datsuns made an appearance.

Also, it is nice having the Utah Motorsport Campus at a closer distance than the tracks were to me back in PA, because with that there is also a larger HPDE following out here, which is nice. Although, SCCA hasn't set up any events out here yet, NASA is in full spin with hosting lots of events for the adrenaline crowd. At the Rally Sport Direct Meet this past Saturday afternoon, NASA Utah had a booth setup so I was able to chat with them for a second about a few questions I had about getting started with them.

Along with NASA Utah, LYFE Motorsport and a few other suppliers also had some awesome setups to check out at the event.

The LYFE Motorsport lineup was pretty awesome.

Overall, it seemed like an awesome turnout with people driving in from all over. I wish I could have stopped by the LYFE Motorsport Meet afterwards but family plans had prevented that from happening, hopefully they host another meet later in the year, I'd love to check out their shop!
