Formulas @ Bondurant!

As a present to both my Dad and I from my Stepmom, we all flew down to Phoenix, Arizona for a weekend for a 2.5 hour session at the Bob Bondurant School in the Mazda Formula 3 cars!

We arrived at their complex and started with a quick classroom session to go over basic driving and track information, as well as some background on the company and their cars.  After that we went straight out to get on some suits and got a tour on how to squeeze in and out of the cars.  

Following that we did a 20 minute follow the leader session to get comfortable in the cars and on track.

After the first 20 minute session they took all of us out in one of those big black 'creeper' vans to give up front tips while screeching the vans tires around the track.  This is the second time being give a front seat tour in a van (the first being at Dream Racing in Las Vegas) and I must say it always makes me laugh a good bit.  We did a second follow the leader 20 minute session that was a bit faster paced and then for our last 20 minute session they gave us a bit more freedom and let us go out alone.

This Formula car session was an exciting glimpse of what the Bob Bondurant School had to provide.  Both my Dad and I are planning on going back to attend one of their multiple day schools in the future!
